Katsina AFAN Make Case For Locally Made Goods

All Farmers Association of Nigeria (AFAN) in Katsina State has added its voice to the clamour for Nigerians to patronise locally made goods insisting that it was necessary in changing the fortunes of the nation’s economy.

The state AFAN chairman, Yau Umar Gojogojo who made the call in Katsina, during an interaction with newsmen said the local chapter of AFAN was committed to supporting the use of locally made goods in all spheres.

Gojogojo said patronising made in Nigeria goods was essential requirements for addressing the much talked about unemployment and its attendant consequences of vice and poverty.

“There is no point reasserting the fact that we need to patronise locally made goods to boost the economy and help refocus our direction towards attaining greatness and being a force to reckon with at the global arena.

Cultivating the habit of using locally produced goods including our local farm produce like rice and others will help boost food production, encourage local industries to grow and ultimately boost internally generated revenue.”

He said with the nation’s huge human resource which made it a viable market for goods produced in the country, the time was ripe for Nigerians to show true patriotism.
