Still on the matter of food safety; some farmers are poised to bring about food safety in our society while some who base their production on the industrial calendar are still unmoved by the harmful effects of synthetic inputs on the human health and are engrossed in making money callously ( making money at the expense of human lives). This food safety cannot be achieved by an individual, the government has to be a key player in this process, and it can play through designing implementable policies that favors organic agriculture. Farms in every local government area in the nation must be carefully registered through the government under an organic farmer's association, important information such as certificate of origin, guarantor's information, location of farm, passport photograph, size of farm, form of enterprise e.t.c. must be indicated. This is to enable farm visit. Government agents (extension agents) should pay occasional impromptu visit to farms to monitor and record activities on the farm. Government should ban the importation of synthetic inputs for farms in the agricultural sector, government should create awareness and sensitize citizens on food and environmental poisoning and pollution through the use of chemicals for food cultivation. Citizens should be given hints on what to look out for should they find themselves on a farm, and most importantly, processed foods should be labeled.
